This toilet paper holder definitely looks great on the wall, with or without a roll of toilet paper on it. It installs easily, is very sturdy (especially if you put solid anchors or get one screw into a stud) so if some idiot leans on it, it stays.My only beef and reason for docking one star is that when you roll the toilet paper off, the roll makes a lot of noise as it rubs the metal. That's just part of the design and makes sense, but it's still annoying when you need a little more paper than usual and everyone outside the room is snickering because they hear you pulling more and more off the roll. Other than that, it's great!Like the sleek look. Substantial piece that lends itself nicely to all of the major plumbing fixtures and shiny chrome hardware in this bathroom. Glad we found the perfect piece. Toilet paper stays on this holder and doesn’t tend to move (almost off the holder when used) as opposed to another Delta holder that was designed with a skinnier piece that inserts into the opening of the roll (and hence holds the roll steadier with no tendency to almost move off the holder) !!Have it in all my bathroomsif you're detail oriented like i am (ok... i'm picky... but whatever hahah!), and you like clean cool modernist style, then this is a great t.p. holder for you.you probably wonder who thinks that much about a toilet paper holder. but you should think about toilet paper holders. details matter!my house style is clean and modern. not starkly cold... but noveau and interesting. (it is. seriously. it's been in magazines and everything!). i had some other chrome toilet paper holders that were screwed to the wall but they all started coming loose and they would swing when you pulled the paper. i'm sure anyone who was sitting there had no idea, they were not supposed to swing (because they would just swing and settle right back to the middle, like it was 'normal') but that really started to annoy me.i saw these on amazon. they were on my wish list for months because i thought "am i out of my mind? i'm thinking about toilet paper holders? i put 4 of these on my wishlist and they're $45 each?! hmm, what day of the week do i have that i can spend money i don't have on something i probably don't need?..." anyway, one day i bought 'em! i don't know if i had money that day or not but i bought 'em...!anyone who's shopped for fixtures knows they are amazingly expensive when you start looking at anything with a design edge. but nice ones really make beautiful accents and if they're good should last you a lifetime.this is a beautiful chrome holder. very simple elegant lines, very modern, clean... functional cool design. one solid piece of chrome that's pretty to look at as you sit there and contemplate world peace.anyway several guests mentioned how nice they were, and i think they are too. if you need something simple and striking, these are it. and in the grand scheme of fittings and stuff, even tho they are $40 they are actually quite well priced for a higher-end fitting. some of the other holders on my wish list were 2x the price!anyway buy it. you'll be happy with ti. it's high quality and very pretty!.....I purchased this to replace the the RH holder that was loose. Someone knocked into it and damaged the dry wall. I like it because it has two places to secure to the wall instead of just one so now it feels much more sturdy and higher quality. It looks great too!Very solid and secure. Looks great. Replaced a holder that was always becoming loose.‘Softness’ of a rigid metal toilet paper holder? What does that even mean?? That’s like asking me to rate the ‘hardness’ of my bed sheets! Now from a looks, feel and function standpoint Awesome product!!! Pricey, but I really like this, slide new roll on, slide empty roll off. The rest of my bathroom fixtures are modern oil rubbed bronze but i realize that’s not the look for everyone. It’s my look and I love this toilet roll holder. Weird, I know. It’s the one thing on the wall like a piece of toilet-paper-Art-Deco mounted to the wall. Some of us think this way to try to justify the premium we pay for silly things ;-)This TP holder is so beautiful. The finish matches my other items. If you have Kohler brushed bronze this is a great substitute.the design is exceptional and so easy to install.I am a very picky person and was willing to pay more money for the Delta name as I know the quality is there. I was not disappointed. Although pricey the Delta fixtures are much higher quality, better made and more durable than the less expensive no name brand options. I did a lot of research and found Amazon to be the best option for pricing and delivery.Am pleased with this holder. It replaced a similar looking one, however, this holder is much sturdier with the solid back = no movement whatsoever. Quality product worth the price.So far whatever I bought from Delta brand was perfect. I am very satisfied with the quality. It looks great in my bathroomLove these!!! Not only do they look great, they hold a double roll of tissue with room to dispense freely. The back plate is perfect for hiding the holes from the previous holder.
